Describe the main conflict:
The main conflict is about Dr. Heidegger wants to be young again, he wants to go back to the day when he got married, and stuff, he wants to go back and mix all the mistakes that he had made when he was young, same thing with all of his friends, they all wants to go back. They tried the water from Fountain of Youth on the rose, and see if the rose can get younger, of course it won’t work. But really that’s all mentally; they know time cannot go back.

Describe the Climax of the Story:
It around the fight between the doctor, and the old mans, those mans don’t agree with the doctor, but at the end they all realized it’s true, even if time can go back they will still make the same mistake. Also considering the fact time won’t go back, no one can be young again, all you can do just to remember, and look forward to the future.



How does the Protagonist change over the course of the story?
He really wanted to go back to youth at first; he misses his wife, and being young. He argued with the doctor about being able to go back to youth; he was kind of rude. But at the end he starts to understand, time can’t go back, even if it can, he will still makes the same mistake. And at the end he is all nice, he thanked everyone. J




Describe the relationship between the title and the theme.
The title is “Dr. Heidegger’s Experiment”, that’s what the whole story is about, his experiment about being young again; he tried it on the rose.






How does the main conflict help to illustrate the theme?
The main conflict is about Dr. Heidegger wants to be young again, and the theme is about the whole experiment on the rose about making it looks young again, so it’s pretty much the same thin, expect one is mentally, one is physically.



How does the climax help to illustrate the theme?
The theme is about being young again, and the climax is the part of them talking about how it would be like being young again. And how they changed their mind, so that’s pretty much the same thing; being young again.

Describe the relationships between the class theme and the story.
The class theme is humanity. And human makes mistakes, and sometimes we wish time can go back so we could fix our mistakes, and do the right thing. All humans had made mistakes, and going back will be nice, but we all know it won’t happen, doesn’t matter how much water we drink from the fountain of youth, it just won’t happen.

1. According to Dr.Heidegger, what is the purpose of his experiment?
The purpose of his experiment is to find out a way to be young again, so he can fix all of his mistakes, he tried on the rose first, and then himself, of course it didn't work. Doesn't matter how much water they drink form that fountain, it just won't happen.

2. What do Dr.Heidegger's friends have in common? How does each of them behave during the experiment?
All the guests of Dr. Heidegger were not pround of their history. They were old, selfish people who wanted to relive their youth. They only care anout their own opinions and disregard all others. During the experiment, they fall back into their old ways. Acting greedy and young, causing them to behave badly. All in all they were arrogant people living in the past.

3, Why would Dr. Heidegger not stoop to bathe his lips in the fountain of youth? Do his friends feel the same way? Comment.
He wouldn't, becaus eh knows that it won't work, it can't change anything, and yes hid friends feel the same way.

4. Who is the narrator of the story? Though he is not a participant in the experiment, the narrator relates all the detials. How does he know what happened to the doctor and his friends? How certain of his facts is the narrator?
The narrator could be one of the friends too, he experienced the same thing, so he knows a lot about his friends' past, and he know how it feels. He had made mistakes too, he wants to go back too.

5. What points are made about youth and aging in the story? Do you agree with the views in the stiry? Comment.
From the story, it sounds like being youth is o amazing, you will have a lot of freedom, and you can make up for all your mistakes, and starts fresh anytime. Yes i agrre wit the views, being young is great, you get make up for anything you did.

7. Some scientist hope to develop a vaccine against aging. They speculate that human could then live approximately 800 years. Do you feel this is desirable? Explain your answer.
Yes it is, because 800 is not that much, but it'd enought to do a lot, and if you know how long will you live, you wil starts to plan your life, so you won't feel sorried. Also it's enought to see the new world if it happens
